Setting up power limit function:
The hash rate limiting feature only works on miners that have wattmeter in the power supply and with the automatic profile switching feature enabled. It is designed to automatically adjust your mining hardware settings based on the set maximum consumption limit.
This feature analyzes current consumption and automatically lowers or raises hash rate profiles to ensure the specified maximum consumption is not exceeded.
Working ceiling – Power Limit × 0.97` (97 %) The real limit the switcher uses. If actual consumption goes above this, the preset is lowered immediately. A small 3 % margin is kept below your set value as a buffer.
Raise‑block level – 95 % of the working ceiling. While consumption is at/above 95 % of the working ceiling, the preset is not raised — the next step is assumed to add ~5 % more draw, which would overshoot the limit.
Example — if you set the Power Limit to 3000 W: Working ceiling = 3000 × 0.97 ≈ 2910 W → above this, lower the preset now.
Raise‑block level = 2910 × 0.95 ≈ 2765W → above this, don’t raise the preset.
So with a 3000 W limit the switcher stops raising around **2765 W** and starts lowering, once draw passes **2910 W** — keeping actual consumption comfortably under your set value.
Power overshoot cooldown — if the preset was just lowered because of power, the switcher waits before trying to raise again, so it doesn’t climb straight back into the limit.
